Anyone rent a fetal doppler from BabyBeat.com?
I ordered the standard without recorder ( 27.00 per month )
It’s a pretty expensive machine to purchase outright. So I figured it has to be pretty decent. I checked out youtube too it looks like a lot of ladies have the home dopplers like this one!
I’ve had 3 previous miscarriages and this is my first child, so I’m pretty anxious to make sure things are OK between OB visits!
Any stories about this website or specific doppler?
Yeah, this system is 450.00 usd to BUY!
I just plan on renting for a month, just until I begin feeling movement that lets me know he or she is OK!
I’ll be 15 weeks saturday

I used one it worked great! I think it was from belly beats if I remember right and it was the standard doppler, not digital. I found it to be very easy to use and I liked the reassurance. You just have to make sure that you are hearing a faster heartbeat because it is easy to hear your own heartbeat when using it and it’s obviously a lot slower than babies. I read that you probably shouldn’t use it all day every day but a couple times a week or between doctors visits won’t hurt.
Congrats on your little one!
Ultrasounds are worse for your baby. There are studies and links to autism and learning disabilities with ultrasounds. As for dopplers, I wouldn’t use them if not necessary. They give similar BOOMING Noises that ultrasounds do except ultrasounds heat the amniotic fluid creating bubble effects only a camera can see. Why you think they use a cooling gel on your tummy? Dopplers are FDA approved, but are recommended only for minute usage. And besides the FDA approves just about anything. TOO much of one thing cant be good for your baby. Hope this helps. ;D
No but I bought one off ebay it is an "Angelsounds" Doppler. I only paid $70 AUD, which is one of, if not the cheapest on the market. I started using it at 13 weeks and got the heartbeat almost immediately, I am almost 17 weeks now and use it every day. I think it is better to outlay a little bit more money and own it yourself then you can use it throughout the whole pregnancy. It comes with headphones and a recording cable, and is the best money I ever spent. Like you I too had a miscarriage, and the doppler certainly calms my worries. Have a look on ebay….
