anyone know anything about fetal dopplers?
Hi..im not sure if any1 can help me or not. Im nearly 17 weeks pregnant and i have rented a doppler so i can listen to my babies heartbeat myself as i had a miscarrige last year and feel i need to be constantly reassured during this pregnancy. I was just wondering if i can use the doppler whenever i want or if there is a certain amount of times a week i can use it. Its just i know its onyl safe to have 1 scan a week and the doppler is the same kind of thing as its ultrasound. Does this mean i can only use the doppler once a week or can i use it as much as i want? Iv had it for about a week now and cant stop using it..haha. I just love listening to my babies heartbeat. Hope you can help. Thankyou x

As I said to the other ladie I believe these can cause unnecessary stress.
You can use it when ever you want to if that’s what you want.

i had mine and used it all the time, it will do no harm whatsoever, just like ultrasounds.
Hi, I used mine from 10 weeks and heard the HB first thing in the morning (with a full bladder). Can never get it at any other time as I’m still only 13 weeks. This is the best time to do it as the full bladder pushes the baby up from under the pubic bone.
You can use it as much as you like, it’s harmless as long as it has passed all the safetly tests (check the logo’s on the box). Hearing the HB is amazing though, congratulations! X
