Don’t stress out about it! Your baby is still really small so it’s harder to pick it up, especially if it’s done by someone who doesn’t specialise in it. My doctor was unable to pick up my baby’s heartbeat at 16 weeks using a doppler (everything was fine though!) and I was told that it’s still hard even at that stage. I know it says that you can use it from 10 weeks but don’t stress out about it - baby could be lying awkwardly
but please please don’t worry because like you’ve said you’ve had two scans and seen your little one, and stressing out isn’t good for your baby
chin up hun!
Im 37 weeks and still cant seem to hear it with that same doppler.
With home dopplers you really cant pick anything up until 15 weeks…well i couldnt anyway..Dont worry everything is probably ok but it is just too soon to hear the heart irrespective of what it says on the box so to speak! If really worried go back to the hospital and say you had a fall and a little bleeding..they will listen for the heartbeat and you will be reassured
Honestly I wouldn’t completely trust those things as they’re not quite as strong or reliable as what the doctor’s office has. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about that model on different pregnancy sites. Using that is only going to make you worried more.
I don’t think angelsounds are real dopplers. I have a similar one and it just amplifys sounds. Those are not like the ones they use at the doctors office. Don’t worry.. I’m sure your baby is fine.
Don’t worry, i had the same doppler, i know it says 10-12 weeks, but its utter rubbish. I couldnt pick up a heartbeat till 16 weeks (tried to from 12 weeks). Its supposedly very very difficult for even a trained midwife with a sonicaid to pick up the heartbeat at 10-12 weeks. Your boyfriend probably picked up the placental pulse, its stronger and beats at the rate of your own heart i.e somewhere around 60-70 bpm.
im 11 weeks and i really wanted one becuase i had a m/c at 8 weeks in june, so i was constantly panicky over everything!!!
however you can’t always hear the heartbeat however many weeks you are, especially that early!
even if it is there and you can’t hear it you’ll just make yourself paranoid and stressed out for no reason. just stick to hearing the heartbeat at the midwife appt!!
good luck and congratz! =D
i bought 3 different home dopplers and they are all WASTE OF MONEY!
I had the doppler used on me at around 10weeks and the doc couldnt hear it so he did a sonogram and we got to see the heart beat. I am now almost 15 weeks and we got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler today. It all depends everyone is diff. Im sure you are fine!!
I am 13 weeks and I rented a fetal doppler through belly beats, and it worked out great. I was able to pick up the baby’s heartbeat at 10 weeks.
Although, keep in mind the thicker you are before pregnancywill also have an impact on when you are able to pick up the heartbeat. If you were thin prior to the ppregnancy then you will be able to hear it with this doppler.
