Am I Havin A Singleton or Twins?
ok i want some opinions. i had and u/s at 14 wks (dec 3rd) and they said i measured 10wks. well in the u/s it looks as if there is a shadow behind the baby. and i had a dr appt yesterday (dec 23) and the dr said i was measuring 16 wks. going off last full menstrual (aug 24) i would be 17w 3d. we did fetal heart tones on doppler and it was on the right side at 150’s and less than 1-2 sec there was heartbeat on left side bout 7" away from the first heartbeat and when i asked about it she looked unsure. and she went back to right side and there was heartbeat. if you go by date from first u/s i would only be 13 wks measuring 16 wks. what do you guys think?
i am suppose to have an u/s dec 28th - jan 11th however the hospital facility’s radiology dept or womens clinic has no appts for u/s available until after i move to arizona. the dr i saw wasnt my normal dr since my dr was on vacation. i talked to insurance and im in the process of gettin approved to get an u/s at another facility
the u/s that showed me at 10wks was transvaginal.
twins run in both sides of family. more so on his side

At 14 weeks, they should be able to clearly see if you are having twins. Discuss this with your doctor.
No one knows for sure except for the doctor and when you go into labour. When you’re further along they might be able to tell better.
from lots of experience i will let you know that you can hear that baby’s heart beating with the doppler several places on your stomach. Its the same beat its just echoing so you hear it various places. Also - yours is mixed in there too.
the measurements are confusing. It almost sounds like you are behind where you should be. If there were twins, i think they would have seen them. They weren’t difficult to see when i was pregnant with them. And if for some reason they missed them, they would have found two heartbeats and you didn’t say she did…

I have twins when i was pregnant i thought i heard two heartbeats but the dr. didn’t think so.. also i grew very quickly i didn’t fit into anything i had at 2 and a half months. Everyone told me I was having twins too. I thought maybe i was but i was totally shocked when i went to do my first ultrasound and there were two of them. You really won’t know for sure till you get your u/s but until then go with your gut feelings. Mommys have that
