Am I crazy? 13 weeks pregnant and want to buy a fetal doppler?

My last pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage. There is this pain in my belly Dr.’s weren’t able to figure out. My Dr. does not think it had anything to do with the miscarriage. Plus, it was at 9 weeks that we noticed and I’ve passed that point. However, it hurts still and makes me nervous. So, I want to purchase a fetal doppler so I can hear the heartbeat to ease my mind. A good one like the Dr’s use. Not the Walmart kind. I found one for and renting one with shipping is like . It makes no sense to rent. But is that crazy?
I’ve heard the heartbeat 2 times at the Dr’s.

i bought one! ha. i got it off of amazon and it works GREAT! we LOVE IT!! mine was $80 but its ours forever. Its by the brand Angelsound. its great! If i were you i would get one! its so nice to lay in bed and listen to your baby.
I think you could drive yourself nuts with it. What if you put it on and you can’t locate the right spot to hear the heartbeat? Are you going to freak yourself out? I’d stay away from it.
It is still too early to pick up the heart tones with the doppler, so at this point I think it may freak you out even more than help you. I wouldn’t expect to hear tones until about 16 weeks.
no i wouldn’t buy one. each day and week that passes the less likely you are to miscarry. speak to your doctor about your concerns as they may suggest you see the midwife more frequently to make sure all is going well.
aww i’m sorry about the miscarriage. the doppler isn’t going to do anything for you but make you worry even more. there is nothing that can be done to prevent a miscarriage before 20 weeks. it’s just the course of nature. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in a miscarriage. i have friends(4 out of 5) who have all had miscarriages. 2 of them made it thru their next pregnancy with no complications. i can imagine how much it is to worry about but like the person said before what if you can’t find the heartbeat? dont’ worry yourself or stress over it. just let nature take it’s course. i’m sure you will be just fine. the doppler isn’t going to prevent a miscarriage. use that money to buy cute baby stuff instead

ooh and in a few weeks you’ll start to feel movement so that’s only going to be useful til then cuz once the movements start you’ll know your baby is doing well!
soemtimes i get a bit worried about the baby but i move around and i can feel him move. it puts me at ease. you’re body will tell you as well if you aren’t doing well. i’ve had random pains. sometimes from eating too much or gas. there are so many things that happen to your body durining pregnancy so don’t stress. just as logn as there is no bleeding or servere cramping don’t worry about it. just do as much as you can to stress your diet and make sure you are getting enough water
