i have never had any one try with a doppler until after 12 weeks and even then the midwife said it is difficult to get. I understand how stressed you are but i am sure everything is ok...just too soon...good luck

Oh yeah, It happened to me. i remember freaking out countless times. The doctor could not hear my babies heartbeat with the doppler until i was like sixteen weeks pregnant. Don't worry until you have the ultrasond and you can't see it. There is no use borrowing trouble. Just relax and think postive. That is the best thing you can do for your baby.

I am 13 wks and didn't hear the heartbeat until I went in at 12 weeks for my appointment. I'm sure things are fine, try to remain calm. I'll say a prayer for you. Good Luck!

I am really surprised that they tried to hear the heartbeat on a doppler at 9.5 weeks. Most doctors do not even think about doing that until about 12 weeks, because it can be very hard to find, and it can really freak people out when it can't be found. My doctor tried to find my baby's heartbeat at 13 weeks - she even said that she is only trying this early because I am very thin, if it was someone a little chubby should wouldn't even think about trying!! So don't worry about it, the baby is tucked away behind your pelvic bone, so it can be way to difficult to fine. Everything is fine, congrats on your pregnancy!!
