38 weeks pregnant, baby moving way less! Is this normal?? ?
Im really nervous because I know it’s getting cramped in there but he isn’t moving as much at all. Just in the morning..a couple of times in the afternoon and a little at night..which is good, but he usually moves ALOT more. Sometimes I won’t feel a kick for like 2 hours. Im worried, should I go to L&D? I have an appointment tomorrow to see my midwife…Should I wait?
ALSO : I have a fetal doppler…his heartbeat is on point! Does this mean he’s ok??

First off, a good heartbeat that isn’t dipping slow - very good sign.
I am high risk and had to do kick counts. When I was 38 weeks they told me to look for 10 kicks in 2 hours, which basically translates into the baby being awake every 2 hours and kicking.
Now that I’m 40 weeks they have me counting 5 kicks in 1 hour - the baby should be awake every 40 minutes to an hour and they expect 5 kicks.
So when you say 2 hours, that was within my guidelines at 38 weeks. However, I just want to say that you should listen to your inner voice and if you are really worried, just go in and have them monitor you. They will take your concerns seriously and if you feel something has changed, just go in.
Yes, it is normal. The baby just has less room to move.
the baby just might be in a position where you arent feeling every movement. as long as the heartbeat is fine and you are feeling any movement at all then you have nothing to worry about. if you are seriously concerned, call your doctor/midwife.
Baby is running out of room to kick thats all. If you can still hear a heatbeat I wouldn’t stress too much. Just chat with your midwife at your appointment.
I wouldnt rush to L&D yet if you have a doppler and can hear his heartbeat and its good.. i would say he is just very cramped in there im 36 weeks and i noticed my lil girls movements have dropped from what they were she is a big baby so i think she is a lil squashed in therei would just ask your midwife tommorow.. goodluck
yes its very normal, the bigger your baby gets the less room it has! dont worry ur fine
Probably just being still if you are active. As far along as you are, its probably normal since there’s less room to play. My doctor always said to drink some juice and wait a while. If you are worried, I would go. It can’t hurt. You are too close to your due date to take chances in my book if you feel like something is wrong. Good luck, and relax!
They are usually more active in the evening. And when you are active during the day you won’t notice his movements as much. I would start doing fetal kick counts. You count for one hour a night and as long as you get 10 kicks you can relax (once you get to 10 you don’t have to keep counting but you want them all to be within a max 1hr time frame).
And yes talk to your OB about your concerns but it sounds normal to me.
