anatomy scan 18weeks pregnant?

Just had a quick question I have had a few problems 3miscarriages and some spotting during this one. But my baby is a little champ and is growing very well ..I bought myself a at home fetal doppler just to ease my mind :) and i hear that heartbeat all the time well i only do it once every other day because i don’t want to over do it .But anyway my doctors apt is on the 18th i will be 17weeks and 2days ..my last apt the nurse told me my doctor wanted to do a anatomy scan at 18week…Does this mean he will give me an ultrasound on the 18th or bring me in a few days later when i hit 18weeks?
Yeah they have ultrasound rooms in their office 2 of them :) I have been in both LOL i hope he does it this week rather then next week lol im dying to know so i can buy some baby things. The nurses are very sweet and everyone up there knows i worry so they give me a play by play of everything that is going to happen next including all blood work and stuff
If ultrasounds/dopplers was dangerous to our children doctors would not use them and tell us that its safe. Sorry but im going to trust my doctor and nurses more then i will a website

I’m 16, and gave birth to the most beautiful little girl you will ever see; She was perfect; but I couldn’t take her home with me; Alyssa was a still born and, having gone through a traumatic pregnancy i’m crushed. I ended up with a pelvic condition, which made it extremely painful to walk, but was determined to keep her, because she’s my baby, and I had to protect her, no matter what that meant for me; A good day or so before labour kicked in, Alyssa stopped moving, and kicking, I figured that, She’s so big she had no room to move, and she was just getting ready to be born, but, when the used the fetal doppler to find her heart beat, they couldn’t, then they did an ultrasound and various other procedure’s before they finally told me that my little girl had lost her life; I then went through 29 hours of labour without pain relief before i delivered my little angel; She was so beautiful, and so perfect, I should have been taking her home, but instead of leaving with my little girl, I left with a funeral directors contact information; truth is, although i’m mature for my age, i’m still 16, and she was still my baby, and i miss her so much, every night so far i’ve cried myself to sleep, i even attempted suicide yesterday, I need help, and I need to give my little girl the send off she deserves, but no one seems to understand, and no one wants to try to. is there anyone out there who’s bin through the same, or a similar experience? i really need some advice, where to go from here, someone to talk to i guess..

Thanks guys

Pains, Pains…?

Okay, well I’m in my 33rd week of pregnancy and today I had to work for about 7 hours without a break and I was on my feet the whole time, I might have sat down for 15 minutes. Anyways, towards the end of my shift I started having these really bad pains on my right side, they were more in my lower abdomen, but they were so bad I could hardly even walk. They went away when I sat down though. After I got home and lied down for a little while they basically aren’t happening, but I do feel them a little bit. I have a fetal doppler and have been checking her tones and they are good around 140-150. I also go for a doc. visit tomorrow and an u/s so I will be sure to mention these to him. In the meantime, what could this have been? Could it ahve been caused by me standing for so long?

This may sound weird but I went looking at homes today and had to go to the bathroom (pee) for quite some time. I couldn’t find any bathrooms for a while but finally went. However, after peeing I’ve had a constant sharp cramp. It’s the same cramp I felt prior to peeing, which I have noticed always happens since I’ve been pregnant. If I really have to go, it starts to hurt with a sharp pain. But the only difference now is that same pain is lingering two hours after the episode. Has this ever happened to anyone? I have since felt the baby move and heard the heartbeat on my fetal doppler so I know the baby is ok. I am just concerned that the cramp has not gone away since I went to the bathroom. I’m thinking that maybe I stretched my bladder by waiting too long to pee. Any feedback would be great to hear.

i want to buy one cos im already stressed and paranoid and ino it will put my mind at rest and stress isnt good for the baby.

What is a "weak" fetal heartbeat?

Does a weak fetal heartbeat mean that the heartbeat is unusually slow for the baby’s gestational age, or does it mean it is harder to see on the ultrasound? I had an ultrasound a week ago to check the heartbeat (at 13 weeks) because the doppler couldn’t pick up the heartbeat. This is my second pregnancy and in all my previous ultrasounds, even ultrasounds performed much earlier in the pregnancy, I could instantly see the baby’s heartbeat before the technician pointed it out. In this ultrasound though, I had to look really hard to see the heartbeat. At first I didn’t see it at all and I was scared my baby had passed away, but then I saw him move. The technician measured the heart rate and it was normal, (155bpm) but the flickering on the screen just seemed really dim or something. Does that mean anything, or does the normal heart rate mean that everything was fine? I know I worry a lot, but I’m pretty good at interpreting what I see on an ultrasound screen and it made me really nervous that the heartbeat didn’t look as strong as it has in the past. Could this have had something to do with the baby’s position maybe? We were looking at the baby from a side view, and his left side was facing the ultrasound probe.

Im almost 10 weeks so i want to get a fetal doppler to listen to my babies heartbeat at home! does anyone know where i can get one? and also when can the baby hear music if i put headphones on my belly? like how many weeks? thanks!!

I should receive it today. I ordered a rental one that includes ultrasound lotion from www.heartones.com a few days ago. I’m really excited to use it which it will ease my mind to know my baby’s okay :) I’m now 10 weeks in case you need to know. Any tips on how to use it? I would be greatly appreicated!

Is buying a fetal heart doppler worth it?

I want to buy one just to hear the heartbeat myself and bond with my baby, and let the father and friend hear it also.

I keep getting mixed reviews over the internet but not sure to spend the on the Sonoline B Ultrasound Fetal Doppler.

I’m not high risk, I never MC’d & I’m pretty healthy and no complications so far, I’m 13weeks.

Sonoline B fetal doppler? How do i?

Know whats the babys heart and whats mine.?
I get around 80 bpm sometimes & 130 & up others, also i hear alot of swooshing noises over the heart beat. What is that?
