I’m 17 weeks pregnant, my gynae ask me to to go for FA Scan - Obsteric U/S 2 weeks later, does anyone has any experience for this scanning and what’s is the different between this with Obsteric U/S with Uterine Doppler? Besides, there are more optional scanning such as 1)Obstetric U/S follow up groth with full Doppler/without Doppler, 2)Level III Fetal Anomaly scan in Fetal Maternal medicine and 3)Obstetric U/S growth without Doppler. I really feel confusing for all of these, can anyone advice??? I feel very appreciate….

im 4 months pregnant as well would i be able to hear babies heartbeat?

ok i want some opinions. i had and u/s at 14 wks (dec 3rd) and they said i measured 10wks. well in the u/s it looks as if there is a shadow behind the baby. and i had a dr appt yesterday (dec 23) and the dr said i was measuring 16 wks. going off last full menstrual (aug 24) i would be 17w 3d. we did fetal heart tones on doppler and it was on the right side at 150’s and less than 1-2 sec there was heartbeat on left side bout 7" away from the first heartbeat and when i asked about it she looked unsure. and she went back to right side and there was heartbeat. if you go by date from first u/s i would only be 13 wks measuring 16 wks. what do you guys think?
i am suppose to have an u/s dec 28th - jan 11th however the hospital facility’s radiology dept or womens clinic has no appts for u/s available until after i move to arizona. the dr i saw wasnt my normal dr since my dr was on vacation. i talked to insurance and im in the process of gettin approved to get an u/s at another facility
the u/s that showed me at 10wks was transvaginal.

twins run in both sides of family. more so on his side

We had the 22 sonography done some time back, Now, we got a huge bill from the sonography associates. its mentioned 1) OB Sono, Detail Fetal/Maternal EV
2) OB, Transvaginal
3) Doppler study
Are these all compulsary ( even when mother doesn’t have any disease like diabeties etc..)

Or is there any thing for which we can fight against this heavy bill?

All other thing everything is showing normal

my midwife listened to my baby’s heartbeat with a doppler at 8 weeks 6 days but in my notes it says ‘FHHR (Just)’ I know that FHHR stands for ‘fetal heartrate heard regularly’ but im concerned it says ‘just’. Presumably that means she could only just hear it. It did sound really quiet. Should i be concerned? She didnt seem concerned. Also anyone know what IOC means?

Can a prenatal fetal heart monitor doppler be used on my yorkie. Is it safe for her? I have been told that it is but just want to make sure. I also was told its good to use so that you can tell if the puppies are in stress so that you can contact the vet or ER vet faster if needed.
Yeah my yorkie is aprx. 10 lbs she is a big girl LOL. I didnt breed her for money i dont believe in that. She is going to be spayed once she has her litter and of course after the puppies are weened. The puppies are going to be going to good homes which are my family members and im keeping one as well. Yeah I take her to the vets for her normal check ups and i feed her what is recommended. I also have all numbers of the vet as well as the ER vet clinic on hand for the whelping in case anything should go wrong. I was told that the monitor could help notice if the puppies are in stress. I am going to the vet on the 17th and will be shown by the vet how to use it. I just want to make sure that this wont hurt my little girl as well as the puppies. Thanks!

hey i was wondering are any of you looking to sale your,fetal montor(baby doppler)or if you know were i can get one really cheap(price range from 30-80)i have looked on ebay im bidding now but the bidding isnt over for 2days! snd i cant wait that long and im not sure i will win,i also was told that the dopplers at walmart,target and stores like that dont really work unless your super small,not big but not to small either im kinda chubby can any one help me out? thanks

ok my last period was 14 Feb 2010. i took 3 preg tests 15,15,18 march all positive. the past couple days I have been using a doppler for fetal heart beats. i have 3 different ones… mine 200+, 1st one was 180’s on left side of pelvis, and second was 160’s on right side of pelvis. they are very strong and sometimes they were close in range. i haven’t been to OB yet… could it be twins? i have been getting these fluttery thumps in my right rib cage. what could it be? they don’t hurt. my husband even felt them just to make sure i wasn’t tripping..
could it be possible that Im further along than I think I am?

I cant get the heartbeat because I think the baby is moving around in there to much….There is alot of noise if the doppler is still….Please someone let me know…..Scared :-/
I can hear alot of movement….I think…..This is my third pregnancy so I am pretty sure…..It is a medical grade doppler….as well……I can hear a faint heartbeat no strong enough or loud enough to guarantee it is babies….I am sooo nervous this time around…..I have another subchorionic hemmorrage** forgive the spelling….I just want to hear it…

Ive rented a fetal doppler off ana wiz, It says i can hear the heartbeat from 10 weeks im 18 weeks on wednesday and when i hold the doppler over the bottom of my stomach i can here a sort of back ground heartbeat sound that sounds quite high pitched, but im finding it really difficult to locate where to hold the doppler when i saw the midwife she held it on my side slightly, i think ive heard it when i hold it just below my bellybutton, im a worrier! thats why i brought it, so what should it sound like? and where abouts should i hold it? any advice on how to use! x

Tomorrow I will be 11 weeks pregnant. I had cramping yesterday and my doc checked for fetal heartbeat with doppler and it was 150bpm. This morning i woke up and there was a little blood in my urine and then when I wiped…. it’s a medium brown color. I also later this morning found it on my underwear. I’m trying to get in to my doctor again today, how bad does this sound?

hello everyone. so this weekend i gushed blood no cramping at all.scared that i was loosing the baby @ 12wks i rushed to e.r. upon being there they did a fetal doppler and found heartbeat further they did an ultrasound baby heartbeat was strong and baby was moving and not in distress. they said my placenta was lying a little low and could have cause the bleeding. the most blood that came out was when it first happened and then it slowed down alot by time they did the pelvic exam. by time i was sent home it was brown and its gone since then.

my question is has anyone ever had placenta previa? has anyone ever bled in pregnancy? does anyone have any advice?
they dont suspect any miscarriage baby is doing great … i dont expect one either and ive just been taking it easy. i have a follow up tomorrow to better understand what is going on and get some advice from my ob. thanks in advance!!!

i’ve been feeling my little man move regular for about 3 weeks, he’ll be active in the morning, then about 3pm, then is very active about 9-12pm!
but the past day i have not felt him so much! there were no movements last night when thats normally his most active time!
i’ve got a proper fetal heart doppler and his hearbeat is fine, so should i be worried or not???
is it normal??
i had two previous births at 24 and 25 weeks, with my daughter she stopped moving 2 days before i had her, but i’d already lost my waters and was in hospital.

I am 14 weeks pregnant. This morning I woke up with a slight pain on my left side. It is higher up, like near my rib cage. I relaxed on the heating pad (at low heat) for about 10 minutes and it went away completely. I did some things around the house and it was fine. Then I made myself some lunch and as soon as I ate, I got the pain again. It got very severe, but it comes and goes and it goes away with the heating pad. Also, I have a fetal heart doppler at home and because I was in pain, I checked for it and still got a very strong heartbeat. So Im thinking the baby is fine, but I am in pain. Im not sure if maybe it is just bad gas pain or something serious. Anyone ever felt this? Do you really think its urgent to get to the ER even though the babys heartbeat is fine and the pain comes and goes and its so far up in my ribs? Please answer! Thanks!

I am 23 weeks 4 days pregnant, and im wondering on the position oh my baby is at the moment.. does anyone kno any good websites that show week by week of the POSITION of the baby???
im trying to figure out when i should feel him and where, coz for the last few days i dont really feel him that much and only feel him kicking my bladder, so just wanna kno so that if i should be feeling him in other places if i should go to the doctor and get checked out… i have a fetal heart doppler to so i check his heartbeat and its still there but its harder to find at the moment….oh my next appointment is not until the 28th.

I’m 16 weeks pregnant now - and have my next scan in 32 days to find out the sex.. i know its an old wives tale about knowing the heartbeat rate and determining what it is from that but i just wondered what people think and the results they got from theirs?
I brought a fetal heart doppler so i can hear it whenever i want to - and it ALWAYS comes in at 146/147/148 .. without fail its one of those EVERY time!
Just wondered if anyone has any ideas as i’m desperate to know :). I’ve a feeling its a boy but the babys father is determined its a girl lol.

hello all… im in my 10th week of pregnancy this is our second child.. we are very excited and scared as our first was a stillborn….
i know this is proberly normal but i hav bin feeling so awesome..ive had no morning sickness wat so ever… my boobs dont hurt anymore. my sleepless nights are becomming less and less. and well so far i just dont feel pregnant at all… my mother in law just brought me a fetal heart doppler and we are trying it tomro so hearing the heartbeat will give me a peace of mind that things are ok… i have a ultrasound at the end of the month.
has anyone ever had this… i kno all pregnancies are different but this is very unusual, i hav never heard of this with any of my friends while they were pregnant.

oh also i havnt had any cramps or bleeding so a miscarrage is out of my mind hopefully

The last time I saw my doctor I was 13 weeks pregnant, I wanted to go on a vacation to see some family out of state and wouldn’t be back until August 10th (22 weeks). So I scheduled my doctor’s appointment and my level 2 ultrasound for the day right after I get back.

I am in the midst of all of the smoke from the California wildfires and I believe it’s best for me to leave ASAP so I’ve made my flight home for tomorrow. I’m about to be 18 weeks so I was wondering if I should schedule my appointment and ultrasound for earlier or does it even matter? I do have a fetal heart doppler and have been checking the heartbeat but all of the people I know have had their ultrasounds before 20 weeks.

This might be a dumb question, but would it be pointless to change it ? When did you get your level 2 ultrasound? Thanks. (:

Last night i called L&D and they told me that it was normal to feel less movement due to the baby having less room to move. i can tell that he has deff moved down more, i heard that once the baby is locked into position they stop moving as much as they did. but I’m still concerned because he doesnt move 4 times in an hour and even when i lay on my side he still doesnt move as much.. i do have a fetal Doppler and his hearbeat is in the 140s and when he moves it does go up so i know hes not stressed.. but is this normal? could it be that im so close to having him soon?
its also freaking me out that he isnt moving like he used too. i guess as long as hes moving some, hes fine.

I know I’ve asked quite a few questions on here but I’m one of those impatient people who doesn’t want to wait until my doctor’s appointment to ask about things.

Okay so I am about to be 15 weeks, and my baby bump has grown larger, but only on one side of my lower abdomen! The higher part kind of goes longways (up and down) about 4 inches maybe. It’s just confusing as I thought it would be side to side… is there any explanation for this?

Also, I recently bought a fetal heart doppler, is it okay to listen to the heartbeat every other day? Or is that bad for the baby? Thanks

I’m sooo worried about every lil thing, this is my first pregnancy and I had an u/s at 9 wks and heard the baby’s healthy heartbeat…at 10 wks I heard theheartbeat again at the GYN office. I’m now 12 weeks along and I feel like I need to be reassured again, I’m nervous about everything….my mom had problems in pregnancy so this gets me even more nervous….how do I keep calm and a peace of mind? I’d like a 2nd ultrasound already, but not if it’s harmful…and I’d like to get the fetal heartbeat doppler but not if I might not hear the heartbeat because I have it in the wrong spot and will freak out. I’m home without a car(it broke down) so all I can do is think and worry about the baby. What would u do or what do u do when ur a bundle of worry about ur unborn child?

ok i kno i should go the hospital right now… but im just wondering if im overreacting….
ive bin in and out of sleep. waiting to feel baby move.. ive felt him but its down low in my pelvic area… he is head down atm. but i havnt felt him anywhere near or above my belly button. should i be worried..
i have a Fetal heart doppler and his heartbeat is still strong over 135.
but like i said i only feel him way down low…if i dont feel him move my tummy would that likely mean he is facing my spine also???

hello around 11:30 last night i went to pee and i started gushing blood. panicing i called my cousing in blood still gushing and so we pick my bf up and went to E.R. i was so afraid that i was loosing my baby i burst into tears when he was about to do fetal doppler to detect heartbeat because i was scared there wouldnt be one. (had miscarriage 5w5d jan) however he did find a heartbeat, afterwards they drew blood and did a real ultrasound by belly. baby measured a little further like 12 1/2 weeks to 13weeks thought i was 12 weeks today. and the heartbeat was good 168 bpm. nothing was wrong with the baby…

but im still wondering why the heck did i bleed like that at the end the doc said i had placenta pervia and that meant placenta rubs against cervix… thats prob why im bleeding and that want change (far as where the placenta is) until i get bigger..

just wondering do anyone have this? if you ever have bled in pregnancy and miscarried when you went in for ultrasound was there a heartbeat. has anyone bled and been okay?
p.s. they dont suspect a m/c at all baby is perfectly healthy
