i want to monitor the heart beat of my baby but i dont have any doopler device…i want to check it everyday…is there a way to do this?

thanks…

Having received the above I was excited to listen and see on display the babies heart beat to check everything was ok and also to have an idea if boy or girl… Doing so I had to leave it as it went up to 155 then 150 then 155 again then it dropped to 145 and then eventually dropping to 55. I got spooked and had to leave it. Can anybody guide me on this? and is it true 140 and under its a boy and over 140 it is a girl? Am I having a baby girl? sorry by the way I am 19 weeks pregnant and due in March 2008.

When can a doppler be used to hear baby’s heartbeat?

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my fourth..I have just purchased a fetal heart doppler and wondered how soon can i use it?,is it around 10 weeks like ive read?,has anyone sucessfully heard babys heart beat around this time?
Many Thanks

I know somebody who wants to know if their dog is pregnant. I was just read that puppys heart beats can be detected after 30 days of mating with a stetescope just wondering if a fetal Doppler would work? Thanks x

Your experience using fetal dopplers?

I am picking up my fetal doppler (rental) tonight and it just struck me how nervous I am… What if I can’t find the heartbeat?
I feel kind of panic-stricken at the thought of trying to find my baby’s heartbeat tonight.

FYI I am 16 weeks (tomorrow) and I have heart the heartbeat before at 9 weeks and 12 weeks.

What are your experiences doing it yourself with a doppler? I am nervous I won’t find it and go into full-blown panic mode. How easy was it for you? Did it take a while to learn how to find it? Any tips/experiences welcome.

buying a fetal heart doppler???

I’m thinking of purchasing one. Do they work ok? I’ve saw not to get a cheap one because they don’t work very well. I’m15 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I’m really excited about it. I get really anxious to hear the heartbeat in between my doctor’s visits, it would be nice and comforting to hear the baby’s heartbeat at home. thanks.

Fetal heartbeat at two different places?

I have my own fetal doppler and I started listening to my baby’s heartbeat and found it at 11 weeks. I am currently at 15 weeks and have heard the heartbeat on the right AND left side of my belly. It used to be only one side, but now, I hear it on both sides. I know I don’t have twins because I’ve had ultrasounds done already. Does anyone know why I hear heartbeats on both sides? I know it’s not my own heartbeat because it’s 150-156 beats per minute. I’ve heard that it could be the cord blood that I am hearing. If anyone knows why this is, please advise. Thank you.

fetal heartbeat doppler?

has any one here ever rented one? if so, from where and were you happy with it? Was it reassuring or just more stressful?

If so, what week were you? I just had my first 10 week appt and the doctor did not attempt to find the heartbeat. She said it was too early so she didn’t try. I was VERY disappointed. I am about 30 lbs overweight, I don’t know if that had anything to do with it or if she didn’t try because she didn’t want me to be disappointed if she didn’t find it.
I now have 2 weeks til my ultrasound but the wait seems like it’s forever. I was contemplating renting a doppler or going back to the dr this week and ask that she try and find it. Will she think I am crazy? :)

Has anybody bought a fetal doppler and does it work?

Has anybody bought a fetal doppler and does it work? Just wondering if you can recommend a brand and one that is worth purchasing.

I have a fetal doppler at home that I just got and I was able to pick up both babies heart beats but I think the rate is a little off. Obviously it’s not as good as the ones at the doctors. So I was curious what the normal range is for a 13 week fetus? I am having twins!
I bought a Sonoline B from Amazon.com

Fetal/heart doppler detection?

My question is, can the fetal/heart beat doppler that doctors use in their clinics detect your own personal heartbeat when looking for baby’s heartbeat? Because I am kind of worried that it was my heart beat that the doctor found, not the baby’s, only because it took her a few minutes to actually find the heart beat. It scared the crap outa me! Anyhow, any input would be awesome, i’m 14 w/2days.

i am not currently using one nor i am pregnant but i used a doppler during my third pregnancy due to the fact that i had a miscarriage with my 2nd pregnancy and i was very scared that it would happen again so i rented a doppler and we used it everyday to hear the baby’s heartbeat, i stopped using it a month before having the baby because i had to return it, i had my daughter but she was coming out breech and i had to get a c-section and then after being home with the baby i was online and read online that using these dopplers frequently during pregnancy can cause the baby to move into this poistion and im just wondering if anyone had the same experience? thanks to all in advance:)

I recently purchased the sonotrax b fetal doppler from amazon.com because someone suggested it. They said they heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks using it. The purchase info said I could hear a heartbeat between 10-11 weeks. I am 13 weeks 1 day today with twins and I tried to use it. The display kept coming up with numbers but I couldn’t hear a heartbeat. Am I doing something wrong? I was standing while using it so should I try laying down? I am a thin person so it shouldn’t be too hard to pick it up. Any tips would be great, thanks!
It makes me a little nervous that I can’t get the heartbeats but I know that’s why ppl say not to buy these things! I have already heard them at 8 and 9 weeks with a transvaginal ultrasound and saw them again at 10 weeks 4 days on a transpelvic ultrasound.
I just tried it again lying down and I was able to hear both heartbeats!!! Thanks guys!!! At 10 weeks 4 days my uterus was measuring 14 weeks so I know mine it at least 2 inches below my belly button now but I still did have to find them down near my pelvic bone.

Using a Fetal heart Doppler…..?

Ok i got a doppler as soon as i found out I was pregnant with #2. My first baby was a stillborn so i thoguht it would be good to keep my mind at ease as the weeks go by…
i have been using it alot lately coz im now 31 weeks 4 days pregnant and its getting closer to my due date which is mid october coz of my first baby im getting induced this time… i have been feeling my baby but not as much as i think i should… but when i check the heartbeat its strong and is between 150-160….

my question is can i use the doppler to much???…. i tend to use it between 2-3 times a day if i dont feel him….but if i do feel him i dont use it at all…
im jsut scared to death of losing this baby as well.
i have roughly 5 weeks to go b4 i get induced :) cant wait!!! :) lol thanks glad im not the only one lol…

I’m confused about which website should I trust its so many I don’t have a clue.

I went to see my doc who tried to find my babies heart beat on her sonic aid and we heard nothing. She says it is too early in some women and not to worry but I can’t help fretting. I am having my 12 week scan on monday but that seems a long way off at the moment. Can anyone advise?
I am roughly 3 stones overweight so maybe that has something to do with it

i bought a fetal doppler heart rate monitor and when i’m listening i calculate a heart rate of about 80 bpm. from all the information i have read this sounds way too low. what advice can anyone offer me?

Fetal heartbeat doppler?

Where can I find a cheap and inexpensive prenatal heartbeat doppler that can pick up a heart beat from 10 weeks onward. . .?

and I can hear the heartbeat, which is very cool. I am 9 weeks and 1 day today, but the digital display indicates between 88-93. I think it’s supposed to be higher than that. I’m not sure what I should do…should I call my doctor? (I have an ultrasound next Tuesday and I’ll be close to 10 weeks) Besides the fact that my husband is (again) being insensitive and I’m fighting back the tears, I need some support. I feel fine otherwise, no bleeding or spotting, no cramping…I would otherwise think this is a normal pregnancy. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
I got the fetal doppler from www.Heartones.com

Fetal heart monitor / doppler - anyone used one?

I’m 19+ weeks pregnant and thankfully all seems to be going well so far. I bought an Angelsounds doppler a few weeks ago and first picked up the heartbeat about 2-3 weeks ago. I’m feeling a bit of movement every day now so I’m not worried, but it’s just strange that sometimes I can pick up the heartbeat immediately, sometimes it takes a while, and other times I get nothing at all. Why is this? I’m guessing it’s probably baby’s position but am just wondering what other peoples experiences are of using dopplers? Thanks
