at home fetal dopplers?

I am trying to find a good fetal doppler that would work at 18-19 weeks and after. Has anybody used them this early, how well did they work and what brand was it?

hi i have been looking into buying a fetal doppler as iv had 2m/c recently and i have found a web site that sells LCD fetal dopplers and it says you can hear the babys heart beat from 10weeks pregnant it is £100 but i really want it dose anyone no if there any good and if you can hear the babys heart beat at 10 weeks
also if they dont work wouldent people send them back

hear fetal movement at 12/13 weeks with doppler?

i was given a fetal heart listener a few weeks ago and have been listenin through it once or twice a week or so.
obviously i have never expected to hear the heartbeat so early but was curious as to whether i’d hear movement or not because baby is meant to be moving a lot at this time.
well this week im 12-13 weeks and can hear a thudding noise a few times. i never heard this last week or the week before. only just heard it.
has anybody else heard anything like this?
could it be fetal movements?
or would i not hear that yet? i have heard the gas noises a few times and it sounds different to this thudding noise
thanks x
whenever i hear the gas noise i usually feel a little rumble in my stomach. but with this thudding noise i dont feel anything at all.

Im not sure when i should feel the flutters, ad cant remember when it was with first!
Also bought a fetal heart doppler but cant hear anything :( am 14 weeks by the way!!

and has anyone used e baby x

I saw my GP yesterday as I had fallen on my holidays and hurt my ankle, he offered to listen to check baby as my next midwife appointment is not until next week. He had trouble finding the heartbeat and had to get another Dr to do it - I don’t think he was particularly experienced and until the other Dr found it I was terrified (esp as I had felt no movements for a couple of days!!)

has this ever happened to anyone else or was it just his lack of experience?

(I am 19 weeks pregnant btw!)
The other Dr found it straight away in EXACTLY the same place he had at my last antenatal check with him a few weeks before!! The other Dr scared the hell out of me, I almost chewed off my own arm!!

I’m 17 weeks pregnant and I rented a doppler to monitor my baby’s heartbeat. The first couple of times I used the doppler I wasn’t able to hear anything…..and for the first time I heard a heart beat near my lower left abdomen. It didn’t sound fast enough. I moved the doppler to the top portion near my stomache and the heart beat rythum sound the same. Does anyone know how the fast the fetal heart beat should be?

she hasnt kicked me today but i heard her heartbeat on baby heart monitor and thats fine so she ok just having a sleepy day yeah?
i felt her once this morning but that was hours ago - yet hear beats fine … jsut a sleep day for baby and no need for concern?
ok yay she jsut kicked me ! panic over =P !

Anyone know where I can buy one that you use at home that is not super expensive? I have no idea what they cost actually. How are the ones from ebay? Anyone buy one of those off ebay? Do they work?

I am 14-15 weeks pregnant and my doctor refuses to check for my baby’s heartbeat which is really frustrating me b/c I am worried and have had a previous M/C at 13 weeks. I just want some reassurance things are okay.

I’m 25 weeks pregnant…I’d like to buy a fetal doppler so I can listen to my babys heartbeat, but I heard that some don’t work so well…I’m willing to spend up to 40.00 dollars that’s my limit for one…Any suggestions would be great!

I am 9 weeks 3 days and got my rented doppler in the mail today. In the center of my stomach under the belly button (where the instructions say to start) all I can hear is rumbling and noise like that - I think its my stomach digesting? Then on either side of my abdomen I hear a steady "swish swish swish" which is about 85-90 bpm. It is the same rate as my heartbeat, although when I have the probe nearer to my heart it is more like a "knock knock knock" sound.

Is the swishing sound my own heartbeat? Am I just too early to hear the baby now? Thanks!
oops…I just looked at a bunch of videos on YouTube of people using dopplers, and I don’t think I did it right. Everyone else is holding the probe way below their belly button and just keeping it basically in one place…here I am searching my whole entire stomach! I think I’ll try once more tonight and if I can’t find it I’ll wait a few days.

I recently bought a fetal doppler for home use and I was wondering if 140 bpm a good fetal heart rate and does anyone have a guess as to if it’s a boy or girl?

Fetal doppler 10 1/2 weeks?

i hired a fetal doppler and i when i use it i can hear a faint heartbeat and then i push down a bit more and i can hear it louder but the doppler is saying its only around 82 bpm. is it my heartbeat? and why if it is why can i hear it so loudly in my uterus. i had a scan on saturday and they said things are fine so im a bit confused. my bladder is full and im a bit worried that what i am picking up is the babys heartbeat. should i be worried?

question about the at home Doppler?

im am currently renting a fetal doppler like the ones at the dr offices. so when i try and find her heartbeat its always real low , like by my pubic line. also i get alot of other weird sounds,is this normal? im 22 wks.
im renting it from a web sight. it works real good. i always hear her heartbeat just alot of other sounds too and very low.

I am 13 weeks pregnant and want to reant a baby doppler to monitor the babys heartbeat. I have lost several babies and didn’t know until i went in with no heartbeat. My last baby at 20 weeks due to umbilical cord accident. To ease the worry of not having a heartbeat between doc visits he suggested a baby doppler, has anyone reanted on from the net before? What is the best one to use and did you have success with it. Thanks

this has happened about 4 times we listen about twice a day, it will be a normal 150/160 bpm then it will slow down slower than mine, then speed up to normal again, has anyone experienced this? im 22 weeks with my 2nd baby, and feel movements everyday
this decrease only lasts 5 - 10 seconds

OK, here’s the situation….

I just found out 2 weeks ago that I was pregnant. I"ve suspected it for a while, but I actually buckled down and went to a clinic and took a pregnancy test and sure enough, PREGNANT. Based on my last period, I should be 14 weeks pregnant.

I went for my first prenatal visit yesterday and the midwife wasn’t able to find the fetal heartbeat after trying twice. She did a pelvic exam and said my uterus was a good size, but she could locate no heartbeat. She said it could be a little extra "tissue" around the middle hiding the heartbeat, but I am SCARED TO DEATH something may be wrong. I wasn’t even scheduled for an ultrasound yet. I have to wait until MONDAY to even find out when I will be able to have an ultrasound.

I don’t know what to do. I’m so worried. Any advice?

just found out last wk that im pregnant (4 HPT’s and one at the doc’s clinic)not sure how far along i am though since my period was so irregular they will have to do an ultrasound to figure that out. im on the heavier side so im thinking maybe that was hindering it, could that be the case ?or im just trying to relieve myself. any advise?

Is my fetal doppler working ok?

I rented a doppler from ebay, its a HI BEBE design. I am only 9 weeks so wasn’t really expecting to hear much just yet. The thing is I am not sure if it is working properly. It has alot of interference sounds even when not against anything and I also can’t hear my pulse on my wrist….should I not be able to hear this? What do you guys think?

I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and purchased a doppler to use at home. The dopple has a frequency of 2MHz. My question is where would I most likely find the heart rate? My doctor was able to find the babys heartbeat with her doppler at 9 weeks and it was loud and strong… I have been trying to find mine however at home today and have had no luck. Also, what will it sound like? I pick up a heartbeat around 98-102 but I think it is just mine.
