I’m an overly parniod mother to be and I feel the most comforting alternative is to rent a fetal doppler. Has anyone shopped there before and if so were happy with what you got?

I’m 12 weeks with twin and have just heard about at home heartbeat montiors you can buy fairly cheap and listen to your baby’s heartbeat at home. Has anyone used these? How effective are they? Am I too early to hear anything?

I am 18 weeks pregnant and really want to get one of these either rent one or buy one. I have looked at Babies R Us but it said you cant hear until the 3rd trimester. So what device do you recommend? Thanks

Did it work well for you? Was it worth the money? Did you find the heartbeat easily enough? Would you reccommend it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi im considering buying a fetal doppler as i was so paranoid during my last two pregnancies.I know you can hire them but it works out more expensive.I had one of those cheaper £30 ones with the headphones before and didnt rate it very mch so this time i want a proper one for around £80 that has the loud speaker.Has anyone had one and if so, how did you find it and where did you get it?

I am a worry wart - always worried my baby’s heart stopped beating. I heard it on the ultrasound at 8w4d - then on doppler at 9w4d - I am now 11w4d. I am thinking of renting a 3 MHz doppler - the same as they use at the doctor’s office. Did anyone do this? Did it add to your stress or take away from it?

i ordered a doppler yesterday from hi-baby.co.uk, it came this morning and i have used it a few times as i found it sort of hard to get it in the right place at first, i read the instructions and it says only use every 3 days, but doesnt say why….

I also want to know if you rented one which was the best and was it worth it? I think I would feel alot better after a miscarriage if I could hear the heartbeat often.

If so, did you have to confirm anything with the seller about FDA regulations?
Its a professional one like at the doctor’s office. I bought the Bebe Sounds thing and it is crap! I hope no one else wastes their money on it.

Do they really and truly work? And how far along do you have to be before you can detect the heartbeat?

I’m thinking about renting or buying one. Anyone else used this and what were your experiences?
Also if you have a brand that you recommend that would be terrific!

I’ve looked at some online, but they all say you need to pay the first payment with a credit card. Does anyone know a place I can rent one and send a Money Order?
Do the Wal Mart ones work well? And at 20 weeks?
