i didnt gain any weight till about six months and the nurse told me that it was just bcuz i am young and it was my first pregnancy but that the baby was still growing and was just fine

You should be able to hear the heart beat through a doppler now. I went the doctor at 15 weeks and they used one to hear my babies heart beat… Have you been to a doctor yet? You should have gone by now. They have different ways to look for the heart beat.

Not gaining weight has nothing to do with it, though. I’m 17 weeks and have only gained 2-4 lbs, it fluctuates. A lot of people don’t gain weight by 25 weeks and more.

EDIT: Oh, and yes it is possible for him to stop growing and for you not to bleed. It’s called a missed miscarriage, though it is pretty rare… If you are THAT worried, go to the emergency room and tell them you think something is wrong. They will probably give you an ultrasound and let you know.

Many women don’t start gaining weight or showing until 5 or 6 months along. Also, it can be very hard to find your baby’s heartbeat with a home doppler device, especially at only 15 weeks.

I’m sure everything is just fine, but if you are concerned, call your Dr.

I’m sure you’re fine. The doplar might not be a quality doplar or you might not be looking in the right spot. don’t be upset that you haven’t gained weight. I wish I hadn’t I’m 19 weeks and gained like 10 already!

I didn’t gain weight till my 5th or 6th month and I didn’t gian it to the point that you could tell I was pregnant till my 7th month.

It is normal for many women not to gain weight at this point. Home dopplers suck!! If you haven’t seen a doc yet then you need to!!

It will catch up to you. I am 17 weeks and have only gained 6 lbs. I only gained 2 lbs the first trimester.
