I rent mine from BabyBeat.com for 18 dollars a month and have listened to the HB every night since 13 weeks 3 days. There is one you can get for 30 a month that you can RECORD the heartbeat and save it on your computer. It's great. EDIT- By the way, the ones on BabyBeat.com are professional ones that doctors offices and midwives use, and you have to put your doctors name and phone number on there. The hospital equipment is much more sensitive, will pick up a heartbeat if it's there and will also tell you if the baby is in any danger - It only takes about 20 minutes and the peace of mind it may give you is worth it!
